OHS girls' basketball team gets mixed results in tourney
The Orange High School girls' varsity basketball team defeated Union City before losing to Bergenfield in the Soaring Eagles Holiday Festival at Union City.
Aquiyah Williams had 16 points and three steals and Esther Adams had 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, eight steals and four blocks as the Lady Tornadoes recorded their first win with a 40-36 victory over Union City on Tuesday Dec. 27. Ruth Adams had four points and 11 rebounds, La-Nijah Willis had six points and five rebounds and Yaramo Dione pulled down eight rebounds for the Lady Tornadoes.
Esther Adams had 18 points, Williams and Sheereka Russell each had 12 points and Ruth Adams added 10 points in the 60-52 loss to Bergenfield on Thursday Dec. 29. OHS fell to 1-4.
