ABOUT US:


Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. We serve over 26,000 girls and 11,000 adult volunteers in the counties of Hudson, Essex, Union, Somerset, Hunterdon, southern Warren and parts of Middlesex.
Who can be a Girl Scout? Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5-17 regardless of race, creed, nationality or socio-economic status. To join Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey,you must live or attend school within the Heart of New Jersey Service Area. If you do not live within this area, check your phone book or GSUSA's Council Finder for your local council.

How do girls participate? Girls may participate in Girl Scout troops which meet on a regular basis after school, evening or weekends. Girls may participate in the Girl Scout program by meeting on a short- term basis with other girls with similar interests or by attending camps and special events. A girl may participate as an individual without being affiliated with a troop or group.
