George O. Brown
George O. Brown, 66, of Orange died Jan. 15. Mr. Brown was a travel
agent for more than 30 years with the Motor Club of
America/American Automobile Association. Mr. Brown is survived by
his mother, Lillian; a sister, Leslie, and four nieces.
Anthony Ritota
Anthony Ritota, 88, formerly of Orange, died Jan. 18 at the Van
Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Toms River. Mr. Ritota was
raised and lived in Orange before he moved to Toms River in 1985.
He was a salesman and manager of the Caldwell Men’s Shop, Caldwell,
until he retired. He also served as a commissioner for the Orange
Housing Authority board. Mr. Ritota is survived by his wife of 58
years, Jeanette; a son, Russell Ritota; a daughter, Teresa Aquino
and four grandchildren.
Salvador ‘Sal’ Vicente
Salvador “Sal” Vicente of Orange died Jan. 19. Born in Havana,
Cuba, Mr. Vicente came to the United States in 1964. He was
employed in the shoe industry and owned his own business before he
retired in 1991. He was active in his home parish of St. John’s
Church in Orange. Mr. Vicente is survived by his wife of 60 years,
Carmina; a son, Salvador Jr.; a daughter, Maria Passerini; two
sisters, Isa Galindo and Carmita Garcia; five grandchildren, and
six great-grandchildren.
